Shirley Flowers is the owner and operator of the Electrology & Permanent Cosmetic Clinic in the Northport/Tuscaloosa area. Shirley has been an Electrologist since 1983 and has been performing permanent cosmetics for over a year. She is a member of the Society of permanent Cosmetic and a Diplomat to the American Academy of Micropigmentation.

Permanent make-up is a revolutionary new procedure of applying micro pigmentation under the dermal layer of the skin. This state of the art technique was developed and specifically designed for women who have busy lifestyles and wanted the freedom of not having to continuously apply or reapply their make-up.

Shirley offers the SofTap manual method of permanent cosmetics. SofTap manual method used a set of inline taps that gently deposits color under the skin. Most women experience little or no discomfort during the procedure and can return to their normal activities immediately. Brows can be permanently applied, eyes can be lined and enhanced and lips can be completely filled with color, lined or both.

Electrology is the only time-honored method of permanent hair removal. Electrolysis is performed by inserting a fine probe into the follicle and applying a controlled amount of electrical current thereby beginning the process of destroying the cells that cause new hairs to grow. Once this is achieved there is no way a new hair can grow out of that follicle. Facial hair as well as body hair can be removed permanently using this method of hair removal. Some areas that are requested specifically by women are brows, lips, chin, sides of the face, underarms, breast and the bikini line. Men often request ears, bridge of nose, cheeks, neck, back of the arms, shoulders and back.
